HUNGRY FLYTRAP

THE PHONE IS THE PLANT

Open an iPhone Duo and the inner screen becomes the inside of a hungry Venus flytrap's mouth. Bugs fly in and land on the two leaves. Fold the phone halfway shut and the jaws come down: everything that has landed gets eaten. Close it all the way and the plant moves to the outside screen, googly eyes and all, while the game waits for you.

On any other iPhone, and on iPad, touch the screen to bite. The trap stays shut until you let go.

WHAT'S ON THE MENU

Every bug in one bite multiplies the score, so it pays to wait for a crowd. Beetles need cracking before they can be eaten. Wasps and hornets cost hearts, so shake the phone to make them let go.

SIX WAYS TO PLAY

Five levels, from Chill to Swarm, each a one-minute round that gets busier as it goes. Chill has nothing that stings, so it's the place to learn the bite. Then there's Endless: no clock, three hearts, and a plant that gets hungrier the longer you last.

RANKED ON GAME CENTER

Swarm and Endless have leaderboards, for points and, in Endless, for time survived. See where you stand among your friends or everyone, today, this week or all time.

Folding and tapping are different games, so iPhone Duo players have leaderboards of their own, and you can look at either set from any device.

And there are 14 achievements to collect, from your very first bug to five whole minutes in Endless. Some of them are secret.

Free to play, with ads. One small purchase removes them for good.
