HUNGRY FLYTRAP

PRIVACY POLICY

Hungry Flytrap, by Roozbeh Moayyedian. Effective October 13, 2026.

The short version: Hungry Flytrap has no accounts and no sign-up, and I don't run any servers that receive your information. The free game shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some data to show and measure them. One purchase removes the ads. If you're signed in to Game Center, your scores and achievements go to Apple.

WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE

The game remembers your best score for each level, the level you picked last, whether the sound is muted, whether you've learned to shake wasps off, the achievements you've earned and how many bugs you've eaten in total, and whether you've removed the ads. These are stored only on your device and are deleted if you delete the app. They're never sent to me.

MOTION SENSORS

The game reads your device's motion sensors so the plant's googly eyes roll with gravity and so it can tell when you shake the device. On devices with a hinge it also reads the hinge angle, because folding is how the plant bites there. All of this is used instantly on your device to run the game. It's never recorded, stored or sent anywhere.

GAME CENTER

If you're signed in to Game Center, the game sends your scores from the Swarm and Endless levels to Game Center leaderboards, sends the achievements you earn, and shows leaderboards in the game, including other players' nicknames and scores. Game Center is run by Apple: your nickname, avatar, scores and achievements are visible to other players according to your Game Center settings, and Apple's Game Center privacy information explains how Apple handles that data. You can play every part of the game without signing in, and sign in or out any time under Settings › Game Center.

ADVERTISING (GOOGLE ADMOB)

The free game shows an ad after each round, served by Google AdMob. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier (only if you allow tracking), your IP address and the approximate location it gives away, information about the ads you see and tap, and diagnostic information. How Google uses information from apps that use its services explains more.

iOS asks whether the game may track you. If you say no, you still see ads, just less relevant ones, and you can change your answer under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Where the law requires it, the game asks for your consent before ads are personalized, and Ad privacy choices on the menu lets you change it.

YOUR CHOICES

PURCHASES

The Remove Ads purchase is processed entirely by Apple. I never see your payment details. The game only learns from the App Store whether you own it, so it can stop showing ads and restore the purchase on your other devices.

CHILDREN

Hungry Flytrap is not directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

CHANGES

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
